R. Vernon Hill Memorial American Legion Post 67

HELPING VETERANS

We have several Accredited American Legion service officers specially trained to provide expert assistance, free of charge, to veterans and their families.

While most of a service officer’s work involves an application for VA disability benefits, these compassionate professionals also provide information, referrals, and resources on education, employment and business, death benefits, and other essential topics.

SUPPORTING COMMUNITY

Community service is at the very heart of The American Legion’s core beliefs

The American Legion recognizes that the community is integral to our American way of life. In many communities, the Legion post takes a leadership role in community betterment.

Post 67 has been instrumental in developing Puyallup's Veteran's Park in the northeast downtown area.  Their efforts resulted in new picnic structures, tables, and BBQs.  Bathrooms have been installed, and a flag burn pit is currently in development.

ADVOCATING PATRIOTISM AND HONOR

We advocate patriotism and honor by recognizing veterans from all wars and conflicts and supporting veteran events in the local community.

Further, we are in the process of building a burn pit at the Veteran's Park to retire American Flags that have become unserviceable.  The burn pit will allow the retirement of Flags in public with respectful and honorable rites.

Since our charter in 1919, our American Legion Post has welcomed VETERANS from all branches of our Armed Forces.

Today, we continue to welcome all military personnel serving our country. Joining our Post enables you to continue serving your God, Country, and Community.

Our mission is to implement the goals, aspirations, dreams, peace, and blessings for our country, friends, and families embodied in our preamble.
