American Legion Post 67 Veterans Benefit Scholarships

Welcome to the R. Vernon Hill Memorial American Legion Post 67 scholarship program! We are excited to announce four annual scholarships, each valued at $500, dedicated to supporting the educational pursuits of deserving seniors from Puyallup High Schools.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Open to seniors graduating from Puyallup High Schools with a military veteran in their immediate family (active duty, veteran, National Guard, or Reserve).

• Applicants must be enrolling in two- or four-year college programs or accredited trade schools.

Application Process:

To apply, candidates should follow these simple steps:

1. Utilize the standard school district application.

2. Submit a no more than one-page essay sharing details about the military member in their family, the significance of their service, and how it has impacted the applicant and their family.

3. Clearly specify the intended school and program.

4. Optionally include a short endorsement from a teacher.

Selection Process:

A dedicated committee within Post 67 will carefully review applications and determine the scholarship winners.

Award Distribution:

The scholarship funds, totaling $500 each, will be sent directly to the institution in the name of the awardee.
